Actually, it is useful, it's how I did it. 1) Get sendmail v8.8. 2) Define the uucp domain mailer. 3) Add a mailer table for each UUCP system: pandora.uucp.kew.com uucp-dom:pandora 4) Insure each domain you defined in step 3 is known either via a local alias and/or MX record. This assumes you are using UUPC/extended or other domain oriented UUCP delivery system. Our gateway's configuration (*.mc) will follow via private mail. -- Drew Derbyshire UUPC/extended e-mail: software@kew.com Telephone: 617-279-9812 To sign off from uupc-info, send the command "signoff uupc-info" in the body of a message to listserv@kew.com. This list is for parties interested in UUPC/extended for DOS, OS/2, and Windows/NT, and replaces the list of the same name on sun.soe.clarkson.edu. Please send all submissions to the list to uupc-info@kew.com. You may leave the list at any time by sending a "SIGNOFF uupc-info" command to Listserv@kew.com. Please note that this command must NOT be sent to the list address (uupc-info@kew.com), but to the mail server which handles this mailing list. The amount of acknowledgement you wish to receive from this list after submitting an e-mail can be changed using the "ECHOMAIL uupc-info" and "NOECHOMAIL uupc-info" commands. The ECHOMAIL command forces the mailing list to send a copy of the mail back to you. The NOECHOMAIL command turns this off. The default upon joining this list is ECHOMAIL. The automated list and file server functions are supported by the V-Mail Server for DOS from Vandenburg Systems Reasearch. The mailer, of course, is UUPC/extended for OS/2. More information on V-MailServer commands can be found in the "V-MailServer HELP", which you can retrieve by sending a "HELP" command to Listserv@kew.com. You can also retrieve files (including UUPC/extended binaries and source) and the V-Mailserver binaries); send the command INDEX to Listserv@kew.com for a complete list of files. -- Kendra Electronic Wonderworks ------------------------------ End of UUPC-Info-Request Digest ******************************
