More than Hydra. Yes, it is bidirektional, but that's less interesting for leafsites. But it can already begin file transfer, when the acks for last file aren't all there. At the moment, uucp-i is only supported by Unix sites. It should be possible on OS/2 and NT also. hajo -- ----[Hans-Joachim Zierke ]---------------------------------------------- [Rathenower Straße 23 ] [D-10559 Berlin-Moabit] hajo@quijote.in-berlin.de [ +49-30 / 394 84 45] ----[Fax:(0)30 / 394 84 47]---------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 27 Sep 96 12:03:58 -0500 From: alarie@ibm.net Subject: message "spoofing" to test gateway program To: UUPC/Extended mailing list Is there a way to dump messages into UUPC/Extended to test a gateway program that would be called using the "|" operator in the HOSTPATH file? -- ----------------------------------------------------------- Regards, Dave Alarie ----------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: 25 Sep 1996 00:00:00 +0000 From: hajo@quijote.in-berlin.de Subject: POP MUAs for UUPC - Good news for OS/2 users To: UUPC/Extended mailing list OS/2 users might want to look at Hobbes: ~/network/tcpip pmmpp101.zip 32255 PmmPop v1.01 (PMMail <-> UUPC/extended gateway) I've tried it with both PMmail and MR/2 ICE. I'm having difficulty calling a REXX gateway using the "|" option in the HOSTPATH file. When the program is called the session crashes with register contents dumped to the screen. I can close the window from the window list and the rest of the sytem is not (does not seem to be) affected. Do I need to look at a fixpack for my REXX dlls or am I calling the program incorrectly? Or am I not handling the arguments correctly? I'm using "ARG a1 a2 a3" to pick up the arguments passed through from UUCP. The documentation says I can call a batch file (hmm, haven't actually tried that) or an executable and I assumed calling a REXX program file would be safe. It might be the same problem I encountered with piping in the ALIASES file - when options=imfile is on, UUPC crashes. No. "g", "G" and "v" are three names for the same protocol. The UUPC implementation of "g" is quite slow. In UUPC, the fastest g protocol is called "v". You might want to put this first in your systems file, and switch on 1024 and variable packets.
