One item which I did not suggest in my last note is to try a FOSSIL driver, which may treat the 8250 kinder than the internal driver. -- Drew Derbyshire UUPC/extended e-mail: software@kew.com Telephone: 617-641-3452 To sign off from uupc-info, send the command "signoff uupc-info" in the body of a message to listserv@kew.com. Do you have unique home directories? I don't know abvout TRN under OS/2, but most systems put .newsrc in your home directory. -- Drew Derbyshire UUPC/extended e-mail: software@kew.com Telephone: 617-641-3452 To sign off from uupc-info, send the command "signoff uupc-info" in the body of a message to listserv@kew.com. That's not precisely how it works. UUPC can connect over a TCP/IP network on port 540 (or a user-configurable alternative) to a UUCP daemon on a Unix box, or another copy of UUPC on an NT/OS/2/Win 3.1x/Win 95 box. Here's the response I sent him, which he suggested I repost: >UUPC/extended runs cheerfully over a network -- I'm using the NT version >right now to do what you described in your note. Much of the details of how to do this are in the UUPC/extended docs. I know -- I helped write them. Tne native OS/2 version of UUCICO does NOT use WinSock. You should NOT need it. FYI ... DOS/WinSock support is included with OS/2 Warp's IAK. > We'll, not all hope is lost, how about named pipes?
