To: UUPC/Extended mailing list Hi there! This is my first posting on this list so be kind with me. Anyone knows a good PM (graphical) front-end for use with UUPC/Extended?. I've tried installing ELM, but the process was a nightmare, so after getting a dozen different errors, I decided to stick with a DOS front-end. Anything with a no-hassle installation procedure?. I have heard of some people using the internet programs that come with Warp's BonusPack with non-direct internet connections... is it possible to use IBM's mail program (which I haven't installed nor looked at) as a front-end for UUPC?. --- +---------------------+------------------------------------------------+ | Fernando Cassia | OS/2 Evangelist. Obviously, the variable was name of your mail/news server not initialized properly. (It wasn't loaded at all, as a matter of fact). Does anyone have a > better GUI they like UUPC/extended? > -- > Drew Derbyshire UUPC/extended e-mail: software@kew.com I've recently wondered this myself. I've been off the UUPC/Ext mailing list for a while (using UUPC 1.11x ;^) ) and recently got back on as I'm looking to upgrade a bit. After downloading about 15megs of Windows 3.x shareware last week (my Spring Break) I've become very dissappointed with the selection of Windows text editors, Term programs, and (uupc compat) mailers. I was also primarilly looking for a replacement for CMM 2.1 and/or a good editor to incorporate with it - I found none. As a result I'm planning to write my own. At this time I'm planning to write a very easy to use (read fool-proof) mailer. If anyone has any input/suggestions/comments I'd love to hear them. After that, I plan to write something on the order of SNUUPM (to aid in configuring UUPC/Ext). Is there a particalurly stable version of UUPC/Extended that I should work from? (is the latest necessarilly the greatest?) dave Show me a Windows term program that devotes more viewing area to the text window than oversized buttons with cutesy pictures and I'll be a happy man. ...until then my 75Mhz Pentium will sit idle, and I'll keep using Jr-Comm on my 7Mhz Amiga 2000. -- _ Dave Wieringa _ // Amiga PGP Pub Key: send e-mail with subject="pubkey" East Lansing, MI \X/ 2000 Internet: wieringa@egr.msu.edu Senior CPE, Mich State Univ W.W.Web: http://web.cps.msu.edu/~wieringa/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 19 Mar 95 09:53:04 GMT From: rlange@elvis.ruhr.de Subject: uupc <-> nns To: UUPC/Extended mailing list Hi, Could please someone give a short description how to use nns with uupc under Windows NT Server ?
